Purpose of Data Collection

We collect only the information required to:

• process your event registration
• communicate essential event updates
• manage attendance and ticketing
• ensure your safety through limited health and emergency-related information (such as medical flags, allergies, or emergency contact details)
• send marketing messages where you choose to consent

Your data will be processed under the legal bases of contract (event participation), consent (marketing), and vital interest (event safety). Health and safety information will be used strictly for event protection and emergency response and will not be used for marketing or unrelated purposes.

Data Sharing & Access

• TFRC may only access your information for event-day operations.
• TFRC cannot download, store, or use your data outside QShelter's system.
• No post-event marketing is permitted unless you choose to opt in.
• Any additional vendors or volunteers will only receive strictly necessary information and must sign a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with QShelter.

Retention Period

Event registration and attendance data will be retained for up to 12 months for reporting and safety purposes.

Marketing data will be retained in accordance with QShelter's marketing retention policy, or until consent is withdrawn.

TFRC may only access limited participant information necessary for event-day operations and must not retain or reuse this information after the event.

International Storage (If Applicable)

Your data may be stored on secure, encrypted servers located outside Nigeria. Where this occurs, QShelter applies appropriate safeguards in line with NDPA and global privacy standards.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• access your data
• correct or update your data
• withdraw marketing consent at any time
• request deletion of your data
• contact our DPO for any privacy concerns
